Michael Roche focuses his practice on international litigation and arbitration. His experience includes fraud tracing and pursuing assets in federal civil and criminal forfeiture proceedings on behalf of defrauded clients. Additionally, Roche participates in restitution efforts in both state and federal court on behalf of fraud victims.

Roche graduated summa cum laude from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia with a B.A. in Spanish and a B.A. in International Studies. While an undergraduate, Roche also pursued studies at El Instituto del Libro in Havana, Cuba, and La Universidad Mayor de San Andrés in La Paz, Bolivia.

He is a 2006 graduate of Vanderbilt Law School in Nashville, Tennessee. While at Vanderbilt, Roche received awards for scholastic excellence in International Civil Litigation and Constitutional Law of U.S. Foreign Relations. In recognition of having made the most significant student contribution to international legal inquiry at Vanderbilt Law School, Roche was awarded the 2006 G. Scott Briggs Transnational Legal Studies Award.

Roche served as the Executive Research Editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law, which published his note, Competing Claims: The Struggle for Title in Nicaragua, 39 Vand. J. Transnat'l L. 577 (2006). Roche also authored an article entitled International Arbitration – A Primer for the Young Lawyer, which appeared in the Winter 2007 issue of the ABA's International Litigation Quarterly.

Before joining the firm, Roche previously clerked at Astigarraga Davis for two summers. He is a member of both the American and the Dade County Bar Associations, and is admitted to practice before all Florida state courts and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

In addition to being fluent in Spanish, Roche is an avid international traveler. To date, his travels have taken him to nearly 60 countries on five continents, and allowed him to visit locations as diverse as Iceland, Lebanon, Mongolia and Zambia.
