Adrian Nuñez focuses his practice at Astigarraga Davis on bankruptcy and creditors’ rights. He handles all aspects of creditor’s remedies including attachment, replevin, garnishment, executions, foreclosure, fraudulent transfer litigation and proceedings supplementary to execution.
Prior to joining Astigarraga Davis, he handled complex commercial litigation matters from inception through summary judgment, trial and appeal.
While working full-time, Nuñez received his J.D. Cum Laude from Florida International University College of Law where he was a Dean’s Scholar Award recipient and achieved four Book Awards in Legal Skills & Values, Federal Income Tax, Intellectual Property, Land Use. While in law school, he participated in the Community Development Clinic whereby Nuñez assisted the indigent in starting businesses and resolving disputes. His last summer as a law student, Nuñez served as an intern to the Honorable Angel A. Cortiñas in the Third District Court of Appeal. Nuñez also worked as a research assistant to law school professor Jose Gabilondo.
With a B.S. in Biology Cum Laude from the University of Miami, he served as a forensic scientist for the Miami-Dade Police Department Crime Laboratory’s Forensic Identification Section for over eight years.
As a Cuban native, he is fluent in Spanish and is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and in the United States District Court for the Southern of Florida. Nuñez serves on the FIU College of Law Alumni Board. He is also a member of the Dade County Bar Association and Cuban American Bar Association. |
