Hal Lucas focuses his practice in the area of complex commercial litigation and arbitration. Mr. Lucas' experience includes claims for: breach of non-competition, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements (including claims for injunctive relief); breach of fiduciary duty; deceptive and unfair trade practices; breach of license and distribution agreements; trademark infringement; and defamation.

• Mr. Lucas' practice also includes an emphasis on securities litigation and arbitration.  He currently serves as Co-Chair of the Young Lawyer Subcommittee of the Securities Litigation Committee, American Bar Association Section of Litigation, and authored the article, "Recklessness" Under Section 10(b) & Rule 10b-5, which was published in the Securities Litigation Journal (fall 2009). Mr. Lucas is also the co-author of US securities litigation in the financial crisis, a chapter published in the book, Global Financial Crisis, Navigating and Understanding the Legal and Regulatory Aspects (Globe Business Publishing Ltd 2009).

• In addition to his litigation and arbitration practice, Mr. Lucas has served as a volunteer attorney for Lawyers for Children America, a non-profit advocacy organization devoted to protecting the rights of abused, abandoned, and neglected children. Mr. Lucas has successfully moved for reunification of a mother, whom he originally represented through Lawyers for Children America, and her young child.

• Mr. Lucas has been selected a "Top Up & Coming Attorney" in Florida Trend magazine's "Legal Elite" He is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida.
